A handful of spinach — does that mean as much spinach as I can grasp with one hand? One lemon — how? The entire lemon, peels and seeds and all? And the ginger — one ‘thumb’? Length and size of my entire thumb, all the way down to the fleshy part of my hand?

  3. Obani says:

Will lime work in place of lemon? What if I don’t have spinach, cos I don’t know where I can get that from.

As someone has asked – do you juice the whole lemon? Peel as well? And what is a ‘thumb of root ginger’? Warm water or cold??

  8. Chris Miller says:

A hand full of Spinach is just that, a hand full, you peel the lemon first then juice it, juice the spinach, and cut about a one inch piece of ginger off of the larger root that you buy at most supermarkets, then juice it and mix all three together and drink it followed by one or two glasses of water. if the ginger is to much for you cut it down until you can tolerate the taste. No, you can’t use a blender, you need a juicer. Take it as soon as you wake up. first you belly fat will feel “looser” as it emulsifies, then it will begin to be washed out of your system. The longer you do this the more belly fat you will lose.

This is a simple recipe. Why is everyone making it so complicated? Stop thinking so much. It’s juice, not a medication that must be measured exactly.

For this recipe, it does not state whether to peel the lemon or juice the entire lemon. I know of some recipes (such as one with kiwi)that states, “to juice entire kiwi, skin and all.” Thanks in advance for any responses.
