I have been drinking a smoothie made with OJ, plain low-fat Greek yogurt and banana, occasionally adding 10 berries of some kind, matters not which. So delicious. This is usually my breakfast. I do plan now to try this recipe with mango, almonds and flax seed. Sounds delicious! I drink only unsweetened almond milk anyway. Do need to lose weight from being on a medication all summer!!! I assume that this is healthy enough to have for three meals a day if one chose to?

    • Grace says:

This is certainly not going to meet a whole days nutritional needs. It is important to include a variety of foods from protein, carbs, and healthy fats.

      • Admin says:

If women are slim but still have belly fat, then the problem is due to excessive stress or hormonal imbalance.
Eating too many processed foods, including packaged meals, cereal bars, bakery treats and fast foods, and alcohol can also cause your belly bulge.

Try adding more parsley to your diet, replace refined sugar with brown sugar, include healthier versions of fat such as water fish, avocado, nuts and seeds and unsaturated oils.

  28. Cheryl says:

Is it ok for people who have diabetes?

  29. Elizabeth says:

Sounds delicious, I want to try it, has all my favorite fruits in it. I am thinking you could substitute the almond milk with full-fat (canned, and preferably organic) coconut milk, maybe even add MCT oil and/or coconut oil and coconut butter to it to get all those good fats and make it extra filling too. The good fats can help with weight-loss too.

  30. Erica says:

Can cashew milk be used. I already have some

  31. tracie says:

“spend at least 30 minutes in physical activities”
AH, there you go. NO food or drink is going to make you LOSE weight, unless you are consuming it in place of something that has more calories, and even then it is not going to work specifically and solely (or especially) on the belly or other particular area. You might notice the change more in the belly because that is probably your fattest part.
This does sound like a delicious drink, and the fiber and nutrients are good for you.

  34. Janet says:

Can someone with diabetes drink this?

  35. Suvi says:

Sorry, I have bad english, I live in Finland.
I wonder that which meal (breakfast/ lunch/ between meal snack/ supper/ snack before bedtime) should this be for getting the best result? How physical the “30 min in physical activities” should be? Is brisk walk enough?
    Please reply.

  36. Alex says:

Great suggestions! I’ve been on my weight loss journey for a few months now, actually read a personal review about a workout guide and it seemed like a solid plan. I couldn’t have been more excited about the results, I am now 30 pounds lighter than when I first started. This site was very helpful to me — if you want to check it out yourself you can read it here
